Papillion Event: Polish Mardi Gras Fun: Enjoy Pączki Day Party and Polish Food-11 February

Yum!

Get your Fat Tuesday/Pączki Day donuts here!

I grew up calling them “punch keys” but you (and I) can learn the correct pronunciation of pączki at the Polish Home and how tasty these sugar covered filled donuts are to eat.

For many this signals the beginning of Lent with the last hurrah to sweets and other things that can be given up for Lent that can include meat, dairy and eggs.(And did you know about giving up parties and dancing during Lent also?)

Lunch will be served from Noon – 1:30PM and includes pierogi, sausage, cabbage rolls, and potato soup.

A dance follows from 2-6 PM and there is a $7 admission for that unless you are under 16.
