State Senator Beau McCoy Visits Papillion

Senator Beau McCoy came to visit Papillion on 7 November to visit an intimate gathering of supporters and others interested in meeting this candidate for governor at Crosse Pointe Innovations.

Many topics were covered including issues facing 911 centers with implementing texting and cell phone video capabilities and the related commissioned study by the Nebraska State Legislature.

Halloween Hoopla

The annual event, Halloween Hoopla, took place at Shadow Lake Mall on 27 October between 1:00-3:00 PM. Children dressed up in costumes an trick or treated. Adults and children alike enjoyed hayrack rides and hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Hy Vee provided the beverages that were manned by the Optimist Club of Papillion La Vista.  The Papillion Fire Department brought firemen, a fire truck and their mascot.

Big Pink Breakfast in Papillion: Bellevue Medical Center and Shadow Lake Towne Center

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

From 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM the Bellevue Medical Center and Shadow Lake Towne Center teamed up to bring awareness to breast cancer and breakfast to those driving by three tent stations.

The first station was breakfast which included a burrito, water, yogurt and fruit.

The second station had information on mammograms and self exams.The third station had give aways and freebies that included breast cancer awareness pins.
