President Obama visited Papillion shortly before 3:00 PM and left around 3:30 PM, according to eyewitness reports. Many roads were blocked off, making it difficult for parents and guardians to get their children from school. The original time for his visit was much earlier and would have avoided school rush time, but his plane landed about 2:10 at Offutt AFB in Bellevue.

He was here to visit Lisa Martin, a new mother and Papillion school teacher, at her residence before his speech in Omaha at Baxter Arena. She had written him about a year ago.
