Shadow Lake embraces the Halloween season with trick-or-treating on Main Street and hayrack rides sponsored by the Papillion La Vista Optimist Club. There’ll also be hot apple cider and games in the Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Amphitheater.

It’s trick-or-treating for adults from 6-9pm on the streets of downtown Papillion. Check in at 5:30 in First Street Plaza, then stop in to taste wines and craft beers. Then, go to Twisted Vine to take part in the costume contest with your friends. Cost is $25 in advance, $30 at the door. This Papillion event is sponsored by the Downtown Business Association.

Take part in the third annual SumTur Twilight Dash, with a 10K and a 5K race starting and ending at the SumTur Amphitheater. Gates open at 3pm, with the races themselves starting at 4. After you finish your run, you can take part in the race after-party, with adult beverages for those over 21 and sodas for those under 21, with food available for purchase. The band eNVy will play on stage from 4:30-7:30. Spectators are welcome to come and cheer the racers on and take part in the festivities. Bonfires will be lit to help chase away the cold.
