No April Fool’n: Drive Like Neighbors Campaign Begins Today in Papillion

1 April starts Papillion’s Drive Like Neighbors Campaign.

Informal interviews with the citizens of Papillion credit Papillion road rage to a number of factors including: poor timing of road projects, poor design of finished road projects, lack of green spaces and congested growth.

Besides pulling people over for tickets, the city will put out tips over social media.

Papillion Event: Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Halleck Park, 8 April

Bring your children to Halleck Park Sunday afternoon from 1-3 pm for the annual Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny and his friends will be on hand, and there’ll also be game booths, snacks, and drinks. Hunt times will be staggered by age as follows:

1:05 pm – Ages 0-2

1:15 pm – Ages 2-4 (no parents)

1:30 pm – Ages 5-7 and 8-12 (no parents)

Papillion La Vista High School Visioning Community Forums

Two High School Visioning Community Forums will be held to get community input on projected growth for the high schools.

One was held last night at Papillion La Vista South High School. The format was a short presentation outlining expected growth patterns and different ideas how to proactivey handle the growth. After that, breakout sessions were held in classrooms where participants were in focus groups. These listed strenghts concerns and questions. The most common were what threshold of students triggers and expansion or a new high school and what is the affect of this on taxes and classroom size.

The second forum will be held on 4 April from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
