I started gymnastics at the<\/em> I started competing in dance when I attended UNL. I was elected Vice<\/em> I also had an opportunity to dance in a piece choreographed by Bill T.<\/em> After college I pursued a career in the health sciences. \n Nancy Standley, and I would attend conventions in Las Vegas during the<\/em>
\n summer. We had a great time together. Ms Nancy played a huge role in my<\/em>
\n life. She treated me like I was part of her family. I got to know her mom<\/em>
\n and all her friends. Time has passed and Nancy has since retired. I will<\/em>
\n always admire her for the compassion and commitment she gave to all her<\/em>
\n dancers!<\/em><\/p>\n
\n age 5 from Francis Allen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I competed<\/em>
\n in gymnastics from 11 years of age until High School. I was invited to be<\/em>
\n on the USA Junior Olympic Team, but chose not to, because I wanted to<\/em>
\n compete with my friends and not under the International Gymnastics<\/em>
\n Federation. My high school team won 2 state titles. Of course they did, I<\/em>
\n was their Team Co-Captain!!!!<\/em><\/p>\n
\n President of Orchesis Dance Ensemble and won awards for my choreography.<\/em>
\n Jerry Bevington, a dance profession at UNL, cringed when I choreographed a<\/em>
\n dance piece because he knew that I used a lot of PROPS!!! I graduated with<\/em>
\n a minor in dance and a major in Psychology. Those were the best years!!! We<\/em>
\n literally stayed at Mable Lee Hall from noon (or when ever our classes were<\/em>
\n done), until 2 or 3 in the morning dancing! The pizza delivery guy knew us<\/em>
\n by heart.<\/em><\/p>\n
\n Jones and Arnie Zane Dance Company out of New York. I had a partner, Kent,<\/em>
\n who had to lift me above his head and carry me in different positions.<\/em>
\n During the auditions, I lied about my weight (what dancer wouldn’t lie<\/em>
\n about this) I finally told them my true weight because I thought I would<\/em>
\n crush Kent. He did great in lifting me and he never dropped me!!!! Whew!<\/em><\/p>\n
\n Colorado for several years and then Seattle….That is where I had my son!<\/em>
\n Being a mother has definitely changed me. I am more grateful for what I<\/em>
\n have and the little things in life I do take time for.<\/em><\/p>\n
\n further my education. I graduated with a Masters Degree in Molecular<\/em>
\n Biology.\u00a0 I currently work at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as<\/em>
\n a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Pulmonary Department.<\/em><\/p>\n
\n to open my dance studio. I started Kidz in Motion Dance Company out of the<\/em>
\n gymnasium of Conestoga Elementary School in Murray Nebraska. I then leased<\/em>
\n a spot in Bellevue and taught dance for 5 years at that location. I<\/em>
\n purchased a property in Papillion and converted it into a BEAUTIFUL dance<\/em>
\n studio. One that I truly take ownership of!<\/em><\/p>\n
\n its curriculum. Gymnastics is definitely a strength of mine and I feel<\/em>
\n comfortable teaching Acro to my dancers. Just call us the cirque du soleil<\/em>
\n of Papillion. As you can see, I have a sense of humor. I have always felt<\/em>
\n that everyone should laugh at least once a day!!!!!<\/em><\/p>\n
